Founded in 2018, Cleveland Rugby Academy seeks to cultivate homegrown talent and grow the game of rugby in Northeast Ohio. With individualized instruction, fundamental clinics, team partnerships and high-performance opportunities, Cleveland Rugby Academy provides a professional experience to all rugby athletes, coaches and those who love the game.

Zack StryfFEler
Zack began playing rugby in 2010 and continues to play and coach. He has played professionally for 4(ish) seasons domestically with the Ohio Aviators, NOLA Gold and New England Free Jacks. He is presently coaching with local men’s clubs and CRA
Michael Pelagalli
Mike played competitive rugby for over eight years for Saint Ignatius High School, Miami (OH), 1823 7s, the Cleveland Rovers, and the Cleveland Crusaders. Since trading in his playing boots for legal pads, Mike has coached the 7s team for Saint Ignatius and is one of the founding members of the Cleveland Rugby Academy.
PATRICK RAHILL
Pat played competitive rugby for over seven years until he hung up his boots for a legal career. For the past six years, Pat has focused on coaching and giving back to the game that has given him so much.
Luke Markovich
Luke enjoyed a playing career spanning from 2005-2019. He picked up rugby in high school and has since played college, mens, and several touring/representative sides. He currently coaches at Notre Dame College, alongside Cleveland Rugby Academy.
